day 1

ARRIVAL IN BISHKEK

Arrival in Bishkek and drive to the hotel. After a break we explore the bazaar and the centre of Bishkek on a small city tour. Then we end the day with a welcome dinner with a traditional cuisine. Overnight at Plaza hotel 4* or similar category.

BISHKEK - KYZYL OI

DRIVE FROM BISHKEK TO SUUSAMYR VALLEY TO TYU ASHUU PASS (3,500M), 5 HOURS’ DRIVE AND 3 HOURS HIKE – KYZYL OY VILLAGE. 210 KM BY ROAD/4-5H
A wonderful panorama opens up behind the pass tunnel. On the flanks of the Suusamyr valley we leave our vehicle and make our way to the Kyrgyz nomadic yurts. We continue hiking through the canyon of the Kekemeren River until we reach the village of Kyzyl Oy, a real oasis in the heart of the valley. Overnight at the guest house.

day 3

TRANSFER KOKOMEREN VALLEY – KYZART – 3 HOURS DRIVE AND 3 HOURS HIKE 95 KM/ 2H

After breakfast we continue hiking along the river and enjoy the panoramic view of the terracotta-coloured hills. After a short hike and a break, we continue towards Chaek, a small village in the middle of the dry valley. We finish the trek and drive to Kyzart village. Upon arrival preparation and general briefing of itinerant trekking. Overnight and at guest house.

day 4

KYZART – TUZ ASHUU PASTURE

Transfer by vehicle to the bridge (14 km), where we begin a hiking day to the Tuz Achuu pasture. Along the hike, we discover magnificent views of the Chaar Archa pastures. Picnic lunch. We gain elevation and reach the Tuz Achuu pass (3300m). We continue towards Tuz Achuu, surrounded by imposing mountains, and begin to see Song Kul Lake. Upon arrival at the lake, we descend towards the Tuz Achuu pastures (3080m), crossing several herds of livestock with their shepherds. Upon our arrival, we meet the shepherd family, who welcomes us for dinner and overnight stay.

day 5

TUZ ASHUU – TULPAR TASH PASTURE

After breakfast, we head west of the lake and walk along the lakeshore. Some small ascents and descents (max 100 m) await you before reaching the Tulpar Tash yurt camp.
Lunch – Uzbek yurt camp. The lakeshore is beautiful with herds of horses, cows, sheep, and goats. There is an opportunity to visit the shepherds and taste fermented mare’s milk, cheese dumplings, and simply tea with cow’s milk...

day 6

TULPAR TASH – TUULGA TASH PASTURE

On this day, we walk 20 km (no elevation change). The landscape is stunning with the shepherds’ yurts. Although there are no trees or even bushes around Lake Son Kul, the altitude and climate variations allow for exceptional flora and fauna to be seen.
Lunch at the Kambar Ata yurt camp.
Fields of edelweiss and forget-me-nots will be present during the hike. There is also an opportunity to observe various bird species from a distance: ducks, cranes, storks, harriers, coots, plovers, golden eagles, royal eagles, cormorants, and thousands of seagulls. A car and driver will pick you up 5 km before the Erlan yurt camp.

day 7

TUULGA TASH – KAZARMAN BY ROAD 220 KM/4-5H

This morning, you will set out to Kazarman. We will cross 2 mountain passes before arrival to Kazarman (Moldo Ashu 3346m and Kara Goo 2800m) and the remote small village will be full of wonderful gorges, and different views. You will spend your night and have a lunch in a guesthouse there.

day 8

KAZARMAN – UZGEN - OSH BY ROAD 280 KM/5-6H

The following morning you will be taken to Osh city. On your way there you will stop by the 11th century Uzgen minaret built by the Karakhanids. Upon your arrival to Osh, you will have a rest. The most important location is the sacred Suleiman Too which is located in the middle of the city. You will spend your night in the hotel.

OSH - FULL DAY (WASHING CLOTHES, RELAX AND SIGHTSEEING)

After breakfast short sightseeing tour in Osh:

Suleiman Mountain. Suleiman Too (Suleiman is the prophet Solomon -Suleyman in Quran, “Too “is “mountain”). The museum is the only UNESCO sight of the whole mountain with many sacred places in caves and paths. It is quite unusual – the museum with rare artifacts is located in the largest cave of the mountain. Osh Bazaar, a colorful bazaar with more than 2000 years of history, played an important role in the Great Silk Road as a major landmark. Nowadays, visitors may take a walk around and enjoy shopping in the shops of national clothes, embroidery, handicrafts, and souvenirs. Main Square with Lenin statue. Kyrgyz people are very respectful of the history of the Soviet period and kept the monument to Lenin in main cities as the country’s major developments were made during the Soviet time

OSH – SARY MOGOL – TULPAR KOL LAKE – APPROX. 5 HOURS DRIVE

After breakfast our path leads through a landscape with rocky hills that are repeatedly interrupted by large pasture areas. At an altitude of 1700 m, we take a short detour down to Lake Papansky, which lies like a beautiful blue pearl below the rocks. After another 3 hours of driving through a breathtaking rocky landscape with a wide variety of colours, we reach Tulpar and its magnificent lakes at 3,500 m on the Pamir highway. This magical area with its numerous lakes and breathtaking views of Peak Lenin (7,140m) on a hike. Overnight stay in yurt camp.

TULPAR KOL - PANORAMA PLACE - TULPAR KOL– APPROX. 5-6 HOUR HIKE


Today we go on another acclimatisation hike to Panorama place. We head upstream from the base camps of Peak Lenin, where mountaineers from all over the world prepare to climb to the highest peak in the region. Enjoy and marvel at the view of the huge Peak Lenin massif and the surrounding peaks, all rising above 6000 m. 5–6-hour hike between 3500 m and 4350 m. Overnight stay in yurt camp

day 12

TULPAR KOL – CAMP 1 (4,200 M), 6 HOUR HIKE

After breakfast we make our way to Camp 1 at Peak Lenin. Mountaineers from all over the world start here to reach the summit. After about 1 hour of hiking and crossing the river over a bridge, we reach the large base camp. From here we hike another 6 hours to reach Camp 1. The first few hours are very moderate with a breathtaking mountain panorama and crossing small rivers. After that it gets pretty steep until we reach the Puteshestvennik pass at 4,100 m. From here we can admire the gigantic glacier world as well as the brown, terracotta-coloured, greenish and white snow-capped mountains. We continue down steep, slippery slopes, where extreme caution is required. After a few slope passages and crossings, we reach Camp 1 for a late lunch. In the afternoon, free time to admire the glacier world. Our camp will be at the base of the north face of Lenin Peak. Important: We ask you to take and carry the necessary things for the night yourself, as we will not have any horses available here. Any remaining luggage can be left in the yurts at Tulpar Kol. day 13

UP TO THE SUMMIT, YUKHIN PEAK (5,130 M) AND BACK TO CAMP 1, APPROX. 4-5-HOUR HIKE

Today we head to the summit of Yukhin Peak. The climb takes around four to five hours. You don’t need any special equipment as there are no technically difficult sections. But hiking poles are definitely helpful. Once at the summit, you will have time to enjoy the incredible view of Peak Lenin, the mountain range and the glaciers and take a few souvenir photos. Then it goes back to camp one. Dinner and relax. Overnight stay in a tent

day 14

TREK BACK TO TULPAR KOL AND FROM THERE TO TRANSFER BY CAR TO SARY MOGOL VILLAGE APPROX. 5-6 HOURS HIKE

A last breakfast at 4,200 m altitude, saying goodbye to the team in camp one and to the glaciers. The path back to base camp is picturesque and beautiful, but challenging due to its length. One last look at the Lenin Glacier and the colourful mountains and we will drive to Sary Mogol village. You truly deserve today’s shower. Relaxation and dinner. Overnight stay at guest house Sary Mogol.

day 15

 TRANSFER TO OSH AND FREE TIME IN THE AFTERNOON

After breakfast it’s time to say goodbye to the team, new friends and the high mountains. We pack our things and drive back to Osh. The afternoon is free. Overnight stay in the hotel;

FLIGHT TO BISHKEK

We fly back to Bishkek early in the morning. We will be picked up at the airport and driven to our hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You can either relax at the hotel or go shopping in the city’s largest department store or at the oriental markets. Overnight stay in Hotel Plaza or similar category.

Farewell and transfer to Bishkek airport. End of journey

Additional Information

Trekking tours require physical strength and endurance. Participants should be prepared for long hikes, steep ascents, and high-altitude conditions. Prior hiking experience and good physical fitness are highly recommended to fully enjoy the adventure.

Weather in Kyrgyzstan The climate is continental, with cold winters and hot summers. The best time for trekking is from mid-June to late September, though weather conditions can be unpredictable.

Visa & Passport Requirements Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months after your departure date.

Health & Vaccinations Recommended vaccinations: Hepatitis A, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, and typhoid. A rabies vaccine may be advised for long stays.

Currency & Payments The local currency is the Kyrgyz Som (KGS). ATMs and exchange offices are available in major cities. Banks, hotels, as a rule, accept Visa card, MasterCard. Tipping is customary for guides and drivers.

Accommodation & Logistics Accommodations range from hotels to yurts and camping. Participants are responsible for assembling and dismantling their tents.
